Brooklyn's Renée Orshan has been blowing our minds a fair bit lately, with her track "Time" especially, under her RÉN guise. She's set to continue doing that with new cut "Sunflowers In The Sky".
Again utilising the procution talents of Luca Buccellati (Yellerkin), Orshan's latest escapade is a good deal more psychedelic. Lolloping beats, grizzled dream-synths and backing harmonies that sound like they're floating into the abyss all puncture the tracks slippery hooks. On "Time" Orshan proved her knack for dance-poised pop, but on this new cut she demonstrates her innate ability to send us into a world of hazey blurs.
