Totalling in at 1min 18sec, Playlounge have just missed out on being added to our conversation piece list of “Great songs that are under sixty seconds”. Who needs bridges, choruses or even second or third verses when you have hooks this sweet? Instead, ‘Revolution Summer’ goes about holding the same mantra as Kurt Cobain’s last written utterance (“Better to burn out than fade away”, that is, for any phoney grunge revivalists), drawing to a close just as it kicks into gear.
