Listen: Party Supplies – Beautiful Girl
New York production duo Party Supplies are probably best known for their collaborative work with Action Bronson on 2012′s Blue Chips.
What you mightn’t know is that these two slightly raggy looking funlovers are not only fervent retro revivalists in their own time, but also more than competent vocalists.
New track ‘Beautiful Girl’ showcases both of these not-so-hidden talents. Drawn from their forthcoming full-length debut, Tough Love, this is electronica dragged kicking and screaming out of a 90s rave by its neon scrunchy. Not quite as out and out pop as their MJ-nodding ‘Guy Friends’, ‘Beautiful Girl’ is a perfect compliment to AlunaGeorge’s pogoing dancefloor-friendly golddust.
Tough Love is out 27 August via Fool’s Gold.
