Perhaps the only supergroup in scuzz-pop, Parakeet have revealed their new single. ‘Shonen Hearts’, the new track from the Yuck and The History of Apple Pie offshoots, is available to stream/listen to below and sounds a bit like what we think throwing a guitar and drumsticks into a whirlpool might be like. Sure, the bassline might sound like every grunge track you’ve heard ever but that possibly just adds to the familial enjoyment of it all.
Their debut album is out “later this year”, but you can catch them on the following live dates:
