New York via Portland pop pair MY BODY have whipped up a sumptuously soupy synth-pop hit in new track, ‘Make It Good’.
Connecting the dots between Purity Ring’s macabre glitchiness and AlunaGeorge’s riff-spiked futurism, the minimalist bleeps and bloops waft away on a tide of chugging bass tweaks and fizzing programmed beats. At the forefront of this little rough-edged diamond sits the true star of the show, a chiming cherubic vocal reminiscent of Megan James’s sweetly demented coo, taunting ‘you could make it look good’ over and over til the sudden fade.
