Indebted to Sleater-Kinney, PJ Harvey and Patti Smith, Barcelona's noise-punk teens MOURN sure do make an almight racket. A brilliant racket.
Aged between 15 and 18, they - as cliché as it is - display a sound far beyond their years. It's aggressive, gritty and loud, but as they demonstrate on new track "Silver Gold", they can whip out a melodic streak too.
They've just released their self-titled debut LP digitally, with Captured Tracks putting out a full physical version 18 February.
