Brighton duo Miamigo’s drop debut track “Opinions” – a spiteful send-off that truly stands out.
And how, exactly, does a synth-based act stand out from the Moog-wielding masses these days? Well, it helps if your first release sounds like Phil Collins stopped by to lay down the drum track. In fact, the duo’s self-labelled brand of “dark pop”— featuring rumbling synths that fill out the low end and falsetto “oohs” and “ahhs” that glide over the top—would fit right in alongside your well-worn copy of Face Value.
“Opinions” is available now at Bandcamp. Purchase of the single includes a previously unreleased track.
