Listen: Los Porcos – C.F.W.
Ex-WU LYF members Evans, Francis and Joe are letting their hair down following the fiery outfit’s premature and very public demise. ‘C.F.W.’ or Classically Feminine Woman, is the third track aired by their new band: fun-loving disco pigs, Los Porcos.
Dewy Vice City guitars glisten over fragrant bass pops and gleefully tacky snare whips, a funky maelstrom of calypso riffing and lightly ruffled percussion which crests at three and a half minutes before simmering down and stirring up again thirty seconds later. A world away from the pensive heavy pop of their old unit, and a cut above even their glitzy, gaudy brace of debut tracks.
‘C.F.W.’ makes up one half of their debut AA-side release alongside ‘Sunshine’, out on 15 September via Caledonia Records.
