Listen: Lolo – Heard It From A Friend

Having disappeared for a time with some rather ominous sounding “battles to fight”, Lauren Pritchard returned recently with scuzzy pop stomper ‘Weapon For Saturday‘.
Her second track under the badass Lolo alias dropped yesterday, and we can only infer that ‘Heard It From A Friend’ stems from her not-so-distant troubled experiences. Repeating piano pounds hum along to a steadily kept beat as Lauren deconstructs the pain and embarrassment of being cheated on, belting out the refrain, ‘When you gonna tell me you fucked me over’, like a scorned, snarling Alicia Keys. This guy sounds like a douche, and we think vengeful looks good on you anyway Lauren.
