Signed to the former’s own label and working as a vanity project for Mark Vernon of the latter band, ‘King DJ has just released a debut double A-side cassette. Clearly indebted to Manc predecessors The Fall, Joy Division and even John Cooper Clarke, these pair of tracks are like a howling drunk you see floundering about at 3am, who somehow, somehow, still manages to stay standing long enough to get another drink.
