‘Juno’, taken from Angolan producer Brey‘s Brasil EP, is one of those rare tracks that startles from the very first bar. Clattering acoustic percussion and spring-loaded synths combine with highlife guitars and scratchy field recordings to produce something which takes dance music’s form, and uses it as a vehicle for something entirely unique. Phenomenal.
