Joy O or Joy Orbison, we just don’t know anymore. I guess we could so easily compare it to the cliche of Prince, but in this case it actually truly fits. Going from Joy Orbison to Joy O, and now seemingly back again.
Anyway, this track here ‘Ellipsis’ has been leaked for some time but is only now finally getting a physical release. Based around a verbal sample of “We used to, like, do our own thing”, which is repeated so often that we may as well refer to it as the chorus, the track truly gets into it’s groove near the end with a nice flurry of piano tinkering.
The single will be released on Hinge Finger come 21 May. You can pre-order it here.
