Chicago’s emerging electronic scene has revealed yet another act among their talented arsenal, with the introduction of the R&B-heavy group, Jody. But to refer to Jody’s playful drips of pitched down rhymes laced throughout sweet and flirty female melodies, as just R&B, would be falling short. With space age psychedelic production on point thanks to duo, The-Drum, and the crafty way they layer dribbling pops, spaced out rap lyrics and haunting loops lend to a new kind of sexy RnB that is anything but overdone.
