Listen: INK – This Time [Best Fit Premiere]
Camera-shy boy/girl twosome INK announced their debut single last month. Set for release via All Things Go Records on 22 April, ‘Ink Goes On’ represents another watershed moment in the slowly unraveling tale of these masked Londoners.
The 7″ will also feature b-side ‘This Time’, a gorgeous accompaniment to the R&B tinged swagger ‘Ink Goes On’. Both tracks were produced by Grammy winning, Back To Black engineer Dom Morley with the b-side highlighting vocalist Miriam Massie’s charmingly sunny tones glinting over disco synth riffs, rapier guitar licks and generous lashings of punchy snare. INK are successfully harvesting the most addictive of Ellie Goulding and La Roux’s pop sensibilities; deftly harnessing bubblegum hooks and sugary lyrics without ever becoming too cloying. We can’t wait to put faces to the names at their debut live show later this month.
‘This Time’ is the B-Side to INK’s forthcoming single ‘INK Goes On’ out 22nd April via ATG.
