It’s been almost 12 months since new material emerged from IBERIA – the Swedish duo who impressed with their dream-like early offerings “A Finale“, “Everyday” and the glorious lullaby (and Brian Eno cover) “An Ending (Ascent)“. They return today with a new offering from their debut self-titled full length – out through Hybris next month.
“Glide” is a different beast from what we’ve heard previously. The track taps into the darker side of Maja Milner and Alexander Palmestål’s collective psyche. The hedonistic ecstasy of the pair’s aforementioned work replaced in favour of growling, bass heavy approach that pairs indecipherable pitched down vocals with intense 808 rhythms.
A paranoid, caustic beast of a song – listen to “Glide” below.
