Listen: HUNTAR – “Expectations”

South London’s HUNTAR has no name, no face, and no tour dates. He does, however, have “Expectations,” a spare, stomping affair that leaves you wanting more.
HUNTAR keeps things simple with little instrumentation beyond bassy, throbbing synths. This allows the vocals to take control, directing the song through exciting peaks and tension-building valleys. By the time keyboards break the song open, it truly sounds like “heaven’s coming down”.
“Expectations” is an excellent debut track that may leave the listener with some expectations of their own.
