Listen: Haraket – Taint (King Krule & Jamie Isaac Remix) [Best Fit Premiere]
South London electronic outfit Haraket are releasing their debut single, ‘Taint’ / ‘Attgo’ on Melodica Recordings this spring.
The five-piece sprouted from the same fertile creative soil surrounding Peckham’s art schools and colleges that gifted us King Krule who – in collaboration with fellow ambient electro prodigy Jamie Isaac – has graciously supplied this deliriously potent remix of ‘Taint’ for the release.
The noodling guitars of the original are stripped away and replaced with sensuous bass throbs, sunkissed string sequences and musky breaks. While Abigail Hardiman’s dusky vocal is bathed in a half-light of tremulous effects; each sweet repetition coiling around the exotic melody with blissful aplomb.
