If like me, you recently graduated from University this past week then you may have missed this ol’ gem. Like any much needed cartharsis, graduation parties tend to involve copious amounts of alcohol, many good times and equally as many misguided decisions, all cumulating in the subsequent days spent in a confused or comatose state.
What better, then, to celebrate such a feeling than a song called ‘Vomit’, delightfully titled in the typically brash style synonymous with a particular bratty San Fran duo.
Yes, Girls have unveiled a new track – this slow-burning but beautiful and brilliant ballad. The song, taken from their forthcoming album, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, sounds like Lifted-era Bright Eyes with a bit of Nina Simone backing-vocals thrown into the mix.
Just sit back, and pretend you’re still a teenager.
You can pre-order the CD album here or the 12 ” double-sided release here.
