Listen: George Maple – Fixed (Maribou State Remix)

One of our favorite rising producer duos, Maribou State are the first to remix Australian darling, George Maple’s latest single ‘Fixed’. In our interview with the intriguing young songstress, who’s drawn more than a few comparisons to Jessie Ware, we uncovered her plans to release a whole collection of tracks this year, as well as remixes by acts like Bondax and Snakeships, so you can imagine, this surprise remix from Maribou State is just icing on the cake.

Liam and Chris of Maribou State smooth out those heavy thudding beats, and rickety breaks on the original edit of ‘Fixed’, trading them in for lush piano notes that unfold into gentle percussion shakes, delicate vocal loops and swooshes of distorted synth. Completing their digital symphony, Maribou takes extra care wrapping Ms. Maple’s sultry words up in their signature rushing fluidity.
