Washington DC duo Gems have shared ‘Never Age’ the B-side to their forthcoming single ‘All I Ever’. The hypnotic pairing of Clifford John Usher and Lindsay Pitts have constructed the perfect dream-pop melody; layering reverb drenched curlicues of guitar atop swaggering bass notes and muted claps of percussion. While Lindsay’s haunting enunciations of ‘If only we could stay like this forever’ leave a faintly melancholy impression on what is otherwise Gems’ most touching track to date. These two are an absolute must see for those touching down in Austin later this week.
