We are all in agreement, last year was a pretty special one for pop music and, if this new cut from Fickle Friends is anything to go by, 2014 is set to continue in a similar vein.
With a sun-hatted nod to the summery hue of fellow-UK newcomers Mausi and even a hint of pop perfectionists Alphabeat, the Brighton five-piece have embraced a glistening 80s sound that instantly brings warmth to these cold January days.
The honeyed vocals of lead singer Natassja (Natti) Shine lead the way atop watery synths and glistening guitar lines, all ensuring “SWIM” is packed with pure feel-good vibes. Dive in below and wash away those new year blues.
