Listen: Dirty Projectors – You Against The Larger World

Dirty Projectors’ new album comes out shortly, on 9 July to be exact, and literally only those with Stoic patience can wait.

We’ve already had a listen to their first single ‘Gun Has No Trigger’, what can be regarded as the most straight-forward and linear you’ll ever see or hear them.

And so to whet our appetites a bit until we get to hear some more of the album’s riches, this acoustic demo (of a half-finished song entitled ‘You Against The Larger World’) has surfaced online.

The crisp production we’re used to is stripped right back but Longstreth’s longingly dulcet tones remain. It’s kind of like having the guy play a house show just for your ears only.
