Listen: Crushed Beaks – Feelers
Along with ‘V-V-V-Vampire‘ troublemakers Spring King, London duo Crushed Beaks are among our very top tips for garage-rock glory in the second half of 2013.
Like their North West counterparts, Matthew Poile and Alex Morris are readying their debut extended play, entitled Tropes, out via ASL Records on 16 September. They’ve already sent teeth chattering once with its title-track, now it’s the turn of ‘Feelers’, a concentrated shot of frothy toing and froing guitars and blunt trauma percussion. Guided by producer and Warm Brains man, Rory Attwell’s magic touch, Crushed Beaks have hit upon the perfect garage-rock formula; screw the heatwave, roll on September we say.
Crushed Beaks will host their own release show at The Lexington on 19 September.
