You know people tend to often say “You can tell that’s from California” any time they hear something that vaguely resembles what walking down the Venice Beach boardwalk must feel like. Well, this new one from Glasgow’s CHVRCHES sounds absolutely nothing like what we’ve experienced of Scotland’s second city.
‘The Mother We Share’ is a brilliant mix of bedroom producer electronics and the kind of pop you might hear on the Disney channel. And we think it’s about as addictive as an Irn Bru bottle dropped in a deep-fat fryer.
