Australia appears to be churning out rather a lot of exciting music at the moment, and dance music in particular; here’s another.
Melbourne’s Chela has been busy making a name for herself by working alongside the likes of Goldroom and Viceroy, but ‘Guts’ shows what she’s capable of away from the bigger players in her genre. Lovesong lyrics and bouncing synths are taken over by an instantly anthemic refrain and a hands-in-the-air dance floor hook. It’s one of those tracks you have to hear again and with huge remix potential it places Chela alongside the leading-ladies in electro-pop. Disco dance with her new single below.
