Listen: Champions League – In Case You Needed Reassurance
Following on from one of the most assured debut tracks of the year, Parisian duo Champions League return today with ‘In Case You Needed Reassurance’ and it’s every bit as majestic as the aforementioned ‘Paris Is Our Playground’.
It’s rather fitting that the emergence of Champions League comes at the exact same time that the 2007 debut album from Gothenburg’s Boat Club receives a long overdue re-issue. Like distant cousins, Champions League operate on the exact same wave-length as their Swedish counterparts. Their world, a rich tapestry of Balearic influences blended with the finest moments of C86-era British guitar pop.
