In terms of an awful analogy that compares the music industry to a fairground, Carousels have only just hopped on the helter-skelter.
A lo-fi pop duo consisting of Cambridge-raised Nick Benton and Lucy Wilson, Carousels have only recently recorded a demo of a song they wrote way back back in 2007 and haven’t even played a single show yet.
But operating from their Guildford flat, they somehow manage to make swooning and beautiful melodies out of scuzzy guitar furore.
Expect their first live show in October, with details to follow.
Listen to ‘Here to me’ below, or track ‘Sleep’ on their Soundcloud.
