Listen: Brothers In Law – Lose Control
Pesaro trio Brothers In Law are part of the same We Were Never Being Boring collective as fellow Italian breakthrough act Echopark. Their debut LP Hard Times For Dreamers was put out on WWNBB at the end of January and following their storming SXSW stint, lead track ‘Lose Control’ has received a release of its own via US imprint manic pop! records.
The track is permeated throughout by Smith Westerns’ sense of carefree whimsy; emanating wafts of trembling synth strings, taut percussive trills and lightly droning guitars in synch with cotton candy soft vocal tones. Anyone with a penchant for sun-baked indie-pop will want to keep an eye trained on Brothers In Law throughout 2013.
