Bobby Womack‘s new album, The Bravest Man In The Universe, is going to be very special indeed. Co-produced by Damon Albarn and Richard Russell, the record will be his 26th – and the first since the artist was diagnosed with cancer. This Albarn and Russell re-edit of the eponymous single is one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard all year, with Womack’s remarkable voice sitting atop a delicate, d’n’b-aping drum loop.
The Bravest Man In The Universe is out 11 June on XL.
