We just about covered all the reasons that Boat Club are such an important and overlooked group a few months ago. Intrigued? Click here. However, as the neon flecked dust of their recent re-issue settles, along comes this blissed out remix from pop aficionados Saint Etienne.
Premiering over at Stereogum earlier today, this re-imagining of “Memories” capitalises on the romanticism of the original and pushes singer Magnus Wahlstrom’s tender melodies to the fore and, in turn, makes the heart yearn that little bit more. Absolutely essential.
Drift over to Stereogum now and prepare to fall head over heels.
