Listen: Animal Collective – 'Honeycomb' / 'Gotham'

Animal Collective have unveiled two brand new tracks. A day like today would have broken the internet back in 2009. Well, I guess it is a bank holiday.

Anyhow, ‘Honeycomb’ and ‘Gotham’ are the second thing we’ve heard from the group in just a matter of weeks, with their Record Store Day release Transverse Temporal Gyrus coming out just two weeks back.

But it’s the first proper instalment of entirely new material, since the band’s last “audio/visual” record ODDSAC in 2010.

It’s uncertain whether this 7″ release will be a one-off or a teaser for a forthcoming album.
