Listen: Amateur Best – “Create Your Love” (ft. Empress Of)

Joe Flory knows a thing or two about duets. Responsible for possibly one of the most overlooked pop jams of the 21st century – ‘The Blues’ – his duet with The Cardigans’ Nina Persson under his long abandoned Primary 1 project.

The Amateur Best man hooked up with Empress Of (pictured) during a brief trip to London whilst the young Brooklynite was promoting her debut EP. The resulting track, ‘Create Your Love’, is a delightfully light and fun slice of optimism. Flory’s vocals the perfect accompaniment for Empress Of’s Lorely Rodriguez and her airy, flighty tones.
