Listen: Air France – It Feels Good To Be Around You
Well, it’s been a long enough wait. Everyone’s favourite Swedish miscreant duo Air France have been working on their debut album for what seems like some decades – and now, finally, here is the outfit’s first new material in three years. Count ‘em.
The Star Slinger-produced ‘It Feels Good To Be Around You’ is a suitably mournful piece of hazy, late-night-early-morning beauty, replete with hooky chopped vocals and sidechaining. According to the band it’s “a simple song about distant love and all that comes with that.” You can read some more about the track, and their plans for the future, on their quite startlingly frank blog.
