Listen: A-Minor – Thinking Bout The Things
A-Minor’s debut track ‘Thinking Bout The Things’ would perhaps have slipped by entirely unnoticed, but for the current glut of producers turning their hand at this kind of instantly accessible dance-pop.
It’s for that very reason, in this hot ‘n’ heavy climate of 2step, garage and soulful RnB revivals, that the London based artist has piqued our interest in a big way. ‘Thinking Bout The Things’ is packed to the brim with broiling synthetic beats and exotic hand percussion, but it’s those sultry, compulsive female vocals spun around the spritely melody which really strike a chord here. Whether the singer involved goes onto snatch the limelight a la Jessie Ware, Sinead Hartnett, Sam Smith, remains to be seen.
