Lake Komo aim high on electrifying new single "Resurrect"
Manchester-based outfit Lake Komo are sharing the muddy field-bound pop epic "Resurrect" on Best Fit.
The band are now embarking on a journey into the unknown with electrifying experiments - they cut their teeth with acoustic gems. Lake Komo don't dip a toe here; they cannonball into the world of synthpop. There are even 808s-era Kanye-style vocoders.
"Resurrect" is massive. It's an urgent, all-in kind of offering with tension and emotion in spades. Mixing R&B croons and gigantic, organic percussion, there's a size to their sound that recalls The Weeknd's recent material or Alex Clare's dub-pop fusions - the kinds of noises that are purpose-built for arenas, stadiums, and cider-soaked festivals.
The band's debut Ritual EP is out now via Columbia.
Stream "Resurrect" below, and check out Lake Komo's upcoming UK shows after.
