Everybody’s favourite guitarist of the moment (sorry Marnie Stern) Kurt Vile has announced he’ll be toasting his blistering outing at last weekend’s End Of The Road festival by bringing out a new EP entitled So Outta Reach.
The 6-track short-play is the follow-up to recent album Smoke Ring For My Halo, which is also due to experience a deluxe reissuing.
The EP includes five songs originally intended for his fourth album, but which were never actually used. They were obviously deemed too good to lay unused on the studio floor, so here we have them. In addition to this, the record also contains a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Downbound Train’.
So Outta Reach EP will be released November 7 on Matador, but today you can have a sneak listen to first track ‘The Creature’, available to stream at the bottom. Happy Tuesday!
