East End producer and Durrr resident, Alex Warren, has been chipping away at this disco-funk lark for some time without ever making a formal full release under his Kiwi alias. That’s all about to change however as DEEP SHIT. co-owners Foals man, Ed Congreave and Friendly Fires’ Jack Savidge, line up ‘Llama’ for release on 15 July.
Initially a slow-burner of sorts, featuring snaking bass, bouncy hand percussion and fabulously 80′s synth sweeps, ‘Llama’ swaggers toward its frantic climax of splurging snares and tropical beats with all the swank and glitz of a tripped-out roller disco champion. Spectacularly fun.
