Kiri squares up to her inner demons on electro-pop slow jam “I’m Not Here”
Originally from Hong Kong, the now-United States-based artist Kiri reveals her first project in over a year.
“I’m Not Here” is an intense, electro-pop slow jam, packed with punchy beats and more sultry electronics than you can shake a stick at. Kiri’s multi-tracked vocal brings another layer of textural richness to the chorus as she channels “a fiercer side of herself.” Lyrically, “I’m Not Here” focuses on squaring up to your own inner demons, and facing them down with a generous helping of grace and irony.
The track saw the singer-songwriter-producer teaming up with co-writer Max McKellar and co-producer Matthew Sim to help her narrate a musical journey of self-discovery.
