Kevin Morby signs to Dead Oceans, shares new track "Moonshiner"
Announcing his signing to Dead Oceans for a record release in 2016, Kevin Morby has shared new single "Moonshiner".
Combining a bright nostalgia with a flair for memorable hooks, the track is a resounding venture through vivid surroundings. Built around the acoustic melody at its core, vibrant vocals and colourful refrains paint a picture that's entrancingly lush.
"I wrote 'Moonshiner' a few years ago after reading what has become one of my favorite contemporary books: The Sisters Brothers," Morby says of the track. "The book was very inspiring to me at that time and it pulled a few different songs out of me - 'Moonshiner' being the most directly influenced. This song came out of all that."
"Moonshiner" is released 4 September via Dead Oceans.
