Precocious talent Kevin George shares new EP Hopeless Romantic
Debuting earlier this year, Kevin George has released a phenomenal amount of music in short space of time. Hopeless Romantic joins his already extensive back catalogue that includes mixtapes LOVELAND and FORTINA alongside singles “High Likes This”, “My Crew” and more recently “Nobody Knows Anymore”.
A multi-genre polymath, Kevin George takes wide ranging influence from artists as diverse as Prince, Tame Impala and The Weeknd. His hermetic younger years spent furiously honing his craft as a self-taught producer and songwriter came to the fore in January 2018 with the release of debut single “High Like This” - a spacey R&B number with nods to trap and hip-hop. Since then Kevin has released two full length albums worth of music in the space of 6 months which deal with subject matter ranging from hometown eating establishments to unrequited love.
Kevin’s latest endeavour is the aptly named Hopeless Romantic EP, an intelligent blend of futuristic production and introspective lyrics that nod to his previous output whilst being a strong indicator of things to come. Stand out tracks include “Dead Ends” featuring Chandler Elyse and “Call Me When You’re Sober”.
