Kara Marni ends the year with the laidback cool of "Close"
The rising London-based R&B artist couldn't wait until the new year to share new music, so today releases teaser track "Close".
"Coming this Fri cuz it feels toooo relevant to me rn," Marni said in an Instagram post teasing the song's release. Having had a relelatively quiet year into terms of putting out music, the singer/songwriter has been hard a work behind the scenes creating her third project.
Aside from summer bop "Young Heart", a collaboration with Atlanta-based rapper RUSS, a year in isolation has proved the perfect time for Marni to get her head down while juggling incoming brand and editorial collaborations from all over the world.
Speaking about the new track she says "Close is a very personal song to me about liking someone but knowing deep down that getting too close with this person will end in tears."
Long term collaborators The Invisible Man are board of her forthcoming EP as are JEFF + KEITH (Ella Mai) and producers SOS (Ty Dollar Sign, Trey Songz). Set to be a tantalising collection showcasing more of Marni's incredible talents, hold tight and let the sumptuous "Close" tide you over.
