Swiss ‘future pop’ artist Kamikaze shares the glitchy goodness of “Half Vision” [Premiere]

“We almost killed each other in the studio”, says Swiss electronic soloist Kamikaze about working with his co-producer Alexandre Maurer on “Half Vision”.
It’s easy to see why for the sheer attention to detail on the song alone. Funk bass splatters itself across unpredictable jazz rhythms, choral singing ebbs and flows, samples scratch and glossal glitches drop into the mix.
It all comes together at the 3-minute mark where emotive, muted guitar lifts the track into something more sublime. Beautifully crafted and intricate stuff.
“Half Vision” appears on Kamikaze’s concept EP Velvet Ghetto, released on 25 September via Mouthwatering Records. Stream below:
