A tip off from our friends over at White Heat, this demo by London newcomers K.I.D.S got picked up a few days ago via The FADER via the Icona Pop girls – two co-signs you can wholeheartedly trust. ’Ragged Old Angels’ then, is the first fruits from this so far anonymous group / artist and shows huge potential for more of the same to follow. Taking the rolling kraut-esque bass line and syncopated beats of say, ‘Spiders (Kidsmoke)’ by Wilco, and fusing with the widescreen psychedelia of TOY and The Horrors, ‘Ragged Old Angels’ is a fine introduction to a rather promising new band. More (info, music, anything) please.
