Joy Anonymous want to help you feel "Human Again"
A community, concept, and artist combined, Joy Anonymous has shared their latest single “Human Again” – the title track from their debut project set to release via Island Record/From Concentrate on 3 September.
Joy Anonymous are a feeling. Known for their spontaneous performances at London’s South Bank as the self-titled ‘Lockdown Pied Pipers’, they took to the River Thames in the heights of the coronavirus pandemic to encourage unity, release, and hope via the medium of their music.
Led by the masterminds of Henry Counsell and Louis Curran, they have continually used joy as their cornerstone alongside a passion for dance culture to spur their live performances into a cherished movement.
Now, “Human Again” arrives as the first sample of their upcoming debut project. Encompassing elements of monologue with an anthemic chorus, its sunny rhythm makes for an eclectic, hopeful, and fundamentally earnest release.
Informing the basis of their upcoming EP of the same name, Human Again is expected to collate the sense of inclusivity that reflects their greater message.
Speaking on their significance, Joy Anonymous say “The reason why we want Joy Anonymous to have the same inclusive feeling as other anonymous groups is to let people feel like they are part of a real community, because I feel that is missing today.”
“Without community and music, we can easily feel lost and like the world is against us. But if you start with small steps of appreciating your feelings, you will always be part of Joy Anonymous.”
