Listen: Johnny Lloyd - “Nowhere To Go” [Premiere]
Following on from the laid-back wooziness of “Pilgrims”, Johnny Lloyd has revealed the third track from his solo debut EP of the same name as he continues to make his mark amongst such psychedelic peers as Foxygen and MGMT.
The former Tribes frontman blends walking-pace, folk-infused acoustic chords with washed-out organ and warm electric punctuation to create this gently melancholic outing. “We got all the time in the world / we got all the time in the world and nowhere to go” Lloyd swoons with a subtle sense of longing that floats through as it did in its aforementioned predecessor.
Premiering on Best Fit today, stream “Nowhere To Go” below; it’s another beautifully retro effort from the talented songwriter in his new guise.
