Jimothy Lacoste can actually speak Spanish
Hyped-to-f-k Jimothy Lacoste returns to the Basque country where he was raised in the video for new single "I Speak Spanish".
“The locations featured have all been the backdrop to my childhood, which included my aunties house," explains Lacoste. "Also it’s not a bait part of Spain, which I think makes it more of an interesting location. The landscape is really green and buff and the weather is nice but also can be quite moody if you’re in the hills. Me on the beach in Barcelona or by the pool in Marbella wouldn’t have been an honest representation.”
Lacoste wrote the song back in January but the instrumental dates back to early 2016. "None of my lyrics were working on the beat so I decided to try out my second language on it….it seemed to fit really well," he says.
