Sydney native Jackson Dyer releases smooth and playful “CBSKY”
Jackson Dyer warms us up in these cool winter months with his newest release “CBSKY” in preparation for his debut LP, Inlet.
Following the release of three independent EPs and four years using Berlin as his stomping ground, sharing stages with Hozier and Hiatus Kaiyote, Jackson Dyer headed home to Australia to write his latest work.
Using the northern New South Wales coastline and its tepid waters as inspiration, “CBSKY” stirs with soft and delicate guitars before he chimes in, dripping with soulful cooing vocals. While there’s no official release date for the album yet, sun-soaked “CBSKY” sets the scene on what we can expect in the coming months.
“I wrote 'CBSKY' focusing on the dramatic and often senseless changes and trials that life brings,” explains Dyer. “Facing many doubts and challenges in my own life, 'CBSKY' took shape over a period of a month, in a small coastal village a few hours north of Sydney, Australia.
“[It] helped me reach the understanding that change is inevitable, and that the discomfort it causes will recede with time”.
