Tel Aviv-based ISADORA keep things ticking over on new single “Leave Me”
Drawing inspiration from hip-hop, electro-pop trio ISADORA reveal their addictive new single “Leave Me”.
“Leave Me” is driven by a regular blip of synths, over which vocalist Isadora Kaufman’s voice delicately builds. The chorus explodes into being just after the one minute mark, with the addictive refrain dancing over skittering electronic percussion from drummer Yaron Goren and glimmering synth lines. It’s an immersive arrangement, with hypnotic production from final band member Dotan Moshanov that will get under your skin and lyrics that will echo round your head for days after just one listen.
According to the band, the track’s narrative centres a “gorgeous atomic bomb” of a relationship, and the narrator’s own endless obsession with it. In their words, it’s about when “you keep on going back to the person who hurts you the most, because you're tired of hurting alone.”
