Inevitable Daydream offer a slice of violence with latest single "Gunblade"
The latest offering from London-based trio Inevitable Daydream is a steely cold shotgun to the throat. Panicked, fearful and adrenaline fuelled.
The confused sounds of undirected anger are formulated into a circa three-minute expulsion that undulates from apathetic to tortured.
Frontman Jack Higham’s strangled screams are simultaneously both a bloodthirsty threat and a forlorn cry for recognition. The sounds of youthful alienation merging with mindless violence make a statement that’s both stark and bleak.
It’s evident to see that Eric Tormey’s (Gang) production has played a major part in influencing and refining the young act’s output. After having the tendrils of their sound pulled neatly together, Inevitable Daydream fit comfortably alongside Brighton’s gore grunge arsenal.
