Honey Moon’s “Yours, Girl” is a dreamlike ballad for star-crossed lovers
“Yours, Girl” is a track that revels in its sublime simplicity, where Honey Moon invoke a picture of the past via jangling guitars and candy-cane sweet vocal melodies.
On Honey Moon's latest offering, lead singer Jack Slater Chandler’s croons with blissful ease in a way that is completely absorbing and spellbinding in its delivery ultimately making "Yours, Girl" a song that is full of old school romanticism, but with a modern-gilded edge.
The band prove that they do not need gimmicks or over-production on the track as they instead opt for a super-clean sound that comes across as genuinely heartfelt and emotive in such a way that it will leave you swooning.
Explaining the track in their own words, Slater Chandler says "'Yours, Girl' is probably the most direct and heartfelt part of the EP; it shoots straight down the ballad barrel. The recording is intentionally quite clean and simple - no flashy production tricks, no crazy effects, just one single unadulterated slice of dreamy seaside pop. One for the lovers."
The track comes alongside the announcement of the band’s new EP which is entitled Four More From… and is due to be released on 21 September via Heist or Hit.
